Oldest of the techniques
Marmorino is one of the oldest Venetian techniques. Its base is slaked lime: the material is applied in thin layers, hardening over time to become part of the wall itself.
The surface is barely textured to the touch. From a distance it reads as stone; up close, as a layer with its own depth. Raking light reveals tonal variations and the movement of the trowel; diffused light renders the wall calm.
A material for interiors where naturalness and the passage of time matter: residences, hotels, restaurants. It sits well alongside wood, linen, and metal.
